Since Microsoft released Windows 11 Preview Edition to DEV channel(Windows Insider), many users want to have a test. However, not all users have Windows insider access, no way to upgrade Windows 11 Preview Edition. In this article, I will teach you how to upgrade Windows 11 Preview Edition from Windows 10 without Windows insider permission.
Windows 11 Preview Edition Upgrade
- Simply press “Win” key on your keyboard to call Windows 10 Startup Menu.
- type “regedit” to get Windows 10 registry.
- go to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\UI\Selection”, change the data of “UIBranch” to “DEV”.
- save and quit Windows 10 Registry.
- Restart your computer.
- Open Windows 10 Settings, find the upgrade item, and click “DEV”, then upgrade.
If your PC can’t run Windows 11
- Simply press “Win” key on your keyboard to call Windows 10 Startup Menu.
- type “regedit” to get Windows 10 registry.
- locate to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup”
- create a “LabConfig”, and two “DWORD” keys under “LabConfig”: key “BypassTPMCheck”(00000001) and key “BypassSecureBootCheck”(00000001)
- save and quit Windows 10 Registry
- now, you are able to upgrade to Windows 11 Preview Edition.
