How to uninstall Windows 11 and turn back to Windows 10

This article teaches you how to uninstall Windows 11 and turn back to Windows 10. Follow the tutorial, you will learn the way to uninstall Windows 11 and turn back to Windows 10.

Before you do this action, you need to ensure that your device is upgraded to Windows 11 from Windows 10. If you use bran new Windows 11 installation by formatting the system partition, you need to format the system partition again and reinstall Windows 10.

Since Windows 11 has been released for a while, some people like it, and some people don’t. If you don’t like it, you can use the following methods to remove Windows 11 and get back to Windows 10. I now collected the instructions for you to uninstall Windows 11.

  1. Roll back to Windows 10 and keep documents and files.

The easiest way for you to uninstall Windows 11 is roll back to Windows 10. By using this way, you won’t suffer any data loss. But there is a problem, you have only 10 days to roll back. If this works, please follow the steps bellow, otherwise please jump to next part.

  • Press “Win” + I to open Windows 11 settings
  • Choose “Windows update” at the left sidebar
  • Click “Advanced options”
  • Click “Recovery”
  • And follow the Windows 11 uninstall instruction to downgrade

Notice: if you are using laptop, please do remember to have power connected.

After couples of restart, your device will turn back to Windows 10 from Windows 11. This is the easiest and safest way to turn back to Windows 10. Cause it keeps everything no change, you will lose no documents or files, but Windows 11.

2. Install Windows 10 by ISO and format your system partition

Another way to uninstall Windows 11 is formatting system partition and reinstall Windows 10. If you can not roll back to Windows 10, this is the only way to downgrade the system. In this case, you will lose all your files and documents.

Before you do that, please do remember to backup all your important files to another partition or USB drive. Cause you will lose them all after the installation of Windows 10.
