Open the File Explorer, right click on the partition that you want to format, and choose “Format” in menu.
And then click “Start” to format the partition.
Usually we make Quick Format selected. Quick format makes the format process in seconds. Without quick format, it will be full format. Full format takes much longer time. The differences between quick format and full format is: Quick format only remove the partition table, in which saves the co-ordinates of the files in this partition; Full format will remove all things. You can recover the files if you quick format the partition, but can’t recovery them if use full format.
BTW, you can’t format system partition in Windows 11, unless you have logged in a temporary system and format system partition there.
