Vertical sync: off
FPS limit: Try this setting between 60 and 120. It depends on your computer .
Texture details: This has a surprisingly low impact on performance, so feel free to put it high.
Model details: Turning it off does not provide as many extra frames as you think, and there is the potential for remote combat in Deathloop, so I put it on hold.
Shadow detail: Turn it off and benefit from the greatly improved FPS. Medium/high setting recommendations.
Water details: Affect surface reflections and include additional visual effects like sea bubbles. If you can, please leave it; not every mission will take you to the shores of Blackreef, so you won’t always appreciate the extra details, but it also means that rejecting it doesn’t always result in extra frames.
Terrain details: Nonetheless, this doesn’t help much for the close-range gunfights that require the most frames, so you can aim for high points again.
Decal details: Changing it from “ultra” to “very low” has absolutely no effect, so get the maximum details here.
Ambient occlusion: You cannot turn off this feature, so most PCs are best to use the FidelityFX CACAO performance option. If your computer can handle it, I recommend FidelityFX CACAO Balanced.
Sun shadow: The default is “simple”, which actually looks good, but if you have a powerful enough GPU, it’s worth switching to the “ray tracing” setting for a more realistic look.
Post-processing anti-aliasing: smooth jagged edges. There are four quality levels, starting with Off and ending with Temporal; higher settings will produce smoother edges, albeit at a heavy performance price. I recommend using Temporal.
TXAA Sharpness: Only enabled when you select Temporal for Post-Process Anti-Aliasing. You can adjust the intensity of the smoothing effect from 1 to 20. Unsurprisingly, higher values have a more obvious adverse effect on the frame rate.
Sharpness post-processing: This will apply a sharpening filter to partially offset the blur that may be produced by applying anti-aliasing. There are two settings, Standard and FidelityFX CAS; there is not much difference in quality, but I got an extra 2fps from the latter, so you can also choose the same.
Camera Motion Blur-Bloom-Depth of Field-Lens Flare: I am not interested in this effect. I turned off all of these.
The optimization of this game is very poor, just like “Shame”. These are just tips for trying to get some extra benefits, but they won’t solve basic engine problems. Maybe Denuvo also took away further performance, but all this remains to be confirmed.

Can I run Deathloop in Windows 11?
Deathloop is newly released at 14th, Sep 2021. You can run Deathloop smoothly in Windows 11 if you installed Windows 11 after system partition format and the CPU is Inter instead of AMD. Deathloop requirements much higher hardware requirements than common games. If your hardware meets the requirements, then you don’t need to worry about that.
